A 22-year-old young woman, already known to the police force, was reported free on charges of receiving stolen goods by the police who found a real kit for making false medical prescriptions in her home in Cerenzia, in the Crotone area.
During a search of the woman’s home, the soldiers of the Caccuri station found 30 ‘red’ medical prescriptions, with the name of the National Health Service, used to prescribe reimbursable drugs, specialist visits or diagnostic tests.
Some of the recipes were already written out and stamped in detail, furthermore a ready-to-use ink pad and an official stamp registered to a mental health center in the area were found.
The woman was unable to provide explanations on the origin of the health stamp and the regional coupons, so the Carabinieri subjected the material to evidentiary seizure and referred the young woman for receiving stolen goods, while waiting for the investigations to clarify what the illegally detained material was used for.
