In line with recent forecasts, work began on the “Marulla” yesterday morning. The first phase of the construction site will involve the area relating to the “Bergamini” South curve. The works, which fall within the 2021-2027 programming period of the Development and Cohesion Fund (FSC), as per the Cipess resolution, for a total sum of just over 7 million euros, will subsequently continue in the Curva Nord (in whose segment, between the two buffer zones, the away sector is currently also confined) and in Grandstand B. The three sectors will be unavailable when Cosenza returns to the banks of the Crati. It is not yet clear, however, when the rossoblù will leave the “Scida” to return to the “Marulla”. The rossoblù club will first have to obtain the certificate of viability.
The sporting side continues to leave one feeling at ease. Cosenza isn’t making any progress and there are still many doubts about the quality of the team. Having metabolized the defeat in Bari, from today on, head to Foggia. Sunday afternoon’s opponent is fresh from the victory against Sorrento with which they ended their streak without success and forced the Rossoneri to abandon the top spot.
