At the “Esisto” multipurpose center in Villa Dante, present were the councilor for major events Massimo Finocchiaro, the member of the board of directors of Messina Social City Andrea Ipsaro Passione, the president of MA. Pro. Eventi & Servizi Maria Proscia, and the president of CSAIn Sicilia Antonio Celona, presented the second edition of the Oktoberfest.
Bavaria arrives in Messina and brings with it the scents, flavors, music and atmosphere of the Oktoberfest. From 1 to 4 October, Villa Dante will be transformed into a real meeting point between Bavarian tradition and the spirit of the city of the Strait, with four days dedicated to good food, beer, sport and fun.
Councilor Massimo Finocchiaro recalled that “the second edition of the Messina Oktoberfest testifies to the territory’s ability to create events capable of attracting the public and generating new opportunities for meeting and promotion”. “The Administration – added Finocchiaro – shared and supported an event capable of addressing a wide audience, offering entertainment and aggregation opportunities for young people, families and visitors. The objective is to make the Oktoberfest not only a moment of celebration, but also an opportunity to enhance one of the iconic places of the city, Villa Dante, making it even more lively and participatory”. The Councilor for Major Events then addressed “best wishes on behalf of the Administration to the organisers, associations, partners and all those who worked on the realization of the event, with the hope that this second edition can further consolidate itself and become an increasingly important event in the calendar of Messina and Sicilian events”.
“The involvement of the Municipality of Messina and Messina Social City – said Andrea Ipsaro Passione – confirms the desire to promote an event that can represent an opportunity for participation and sociality. Messina Social City has chosen to be part of this initiative because we believe that public places should be experienced and shared by the whole community, offering meeting opportunities capable of involving families, young people, children and citizens of all ages. The Oktoberfest also represents an opportunity to promote inclusive participation and strengthen the sense of community, through an event that brings different traditions and cultures to Messina, reinterpreting them in a fully Messina dimension”. Making the atmosphere even more lively will be the DJ sets curated by Giovanni Costantino, Nino Scollo, Salvo Barresi and Cristian D’Angelo, protagonists of the musical part of the event.

Also open for LUNCH: the food houses, attractions, sports tournaments, rides and hobbyists will also be active in the morning from 10.00 am.
Bavarian Refreshment Point: in addition to 15 food houses and beer tastings, this year there will be the typical Bavarian house with a traditional dish.
Pre-sale Token Cashiers: The cashiers for the purchase of tokens will be open from September 28th every afternoon, from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
Sports Activities: organized by Andrea Argento (National Football Coordinator), Maria Poscia (Regional Events and Dance Coordinator) and Antonio Celona (CSAIn Regional President). Five-a-side football, padel, basketball, baskin and table tennis tournaments for the blind will be held, as well as demonstrations of figure skating, archery, yoga and fitness.
Attractions for everyone: pony rides, mechanical bull and rides for the little ones.
