The single and universal allowance for October 2026 will be credited on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October to families who already receive the benefit and have not had any changes in their practice, according to the payment calendar released by INPS. For those who submit a new application or have had changes that require a recalculation of the amount, payment usually takes place in the last week of the month following the submission of the application.
New questions and recalculated amounts: when the payment arrives
For those who have submitted a new application, the first installment is normally paid in the last week of the month following the month of submission. In the same period, the amounts relating to any adjustments, credit or debit, are also credited when the benefit has been recalculated, for example after an update of the ISEE or a change in the family unit.
Do we need a new application in 2026?
No, it is not necessary to submit a new request for those who already have an application for a single allowance in an “accepted” status. INPS continues disbursement automatically, unless the previous practice is lapsed, revoked or rejected.
Single allowance 2026: amounts revalued by 1.4%
In 2026 the ISEE amounts and thresholds of the single allowance were revalued by 1.4% (Inps circular no. 7/2026). The amount for each minor child ranges from a maximum of 203.80 euros, with ISEE up to 17,468.51 euros, to a minimum of 58.30 euros, with ISEE over 46,582.71 euros or in the absence of ISEE. The new values were applied from the February month, while the difference relating to January was paid in March.
ISEE and single allowance: what happens without a valid declaration
The single allowance remains a universal measure: it is also entitled to without ISEE or with an ISEE higher than the maximum threshold, but in these cases it is paid in the minimum amount. From 1 March 2026, anyone who has not submitted an updated ISEE will therefore receive the minimum amount. Anyone who submits the declaration by 30 June 2026 will recover the arrears due from March.

The date and amount of the credit can be checked in the citizen’s social security file, by accessing the INPS website with Spid, Cie or Cns, or via the INPS Mobile app.
