We live in an age saturated with images quickly consumed and forgotten in the space of a scroll on the screen. Yet, there is a cinema that stubbornly resists this frenzy: a story made of time, patient glances and realities that only ask to be observed with care. From this urgency of depth was born Orizzonti Visibili, RTP’s new weekly television event entirely dedicated to auteur documentaries and the power of independent audiovisual language.

Each episode is built around a single documentary, a complete cinematographic work (short film, medium-length film or feature film), signed by a filmmaker. These are not simple reportages, but real visual journeys in which the camera becomes an extension of the director’s sensitivity. Orizzonti Visibili presents itself as a welcoming home for emerging authors and independent voices who, with courage and determination, delve into the folds of the present to bring to light its most intimate, provocative or forgotten aspects.
The route of the broadcast does not only map geographical territories, but above all explores human and cultural landscapes. From provincial micro-histories that preserve age-old traditions to large-scale environmental investigations, from portraits of life on the margins of society to the most daring artistic explorations, each event offers a unique point of view, free of commercial filters.

Send us your works, they will be evaluated by the editorial staff and the authors: those that meet the requirements will be broadcast.
