The “Tonino Mazzuca” field in Rende will be the home of Calabrian rugby for two days. Tomorrow, Saturday 10 October, and Sunday 11 October will host a weekend dedicated to children, women’s rugby and collaboration between local entities.
Tomorrow the open days and the workshop on respect
We start tomorrow at 10.30am with the Mini Rugby Open Day: a morning open to children and families to learn about and try rugby for free. From 11am there will be space for women’s rugby, with an Open Day also aimed at those who have never played. Simple and fun, non-contact activities are planned to help you get closer to the oval ball.
The Tigers Rugby Bari will participate in the day, training together with the girls from Rugby Rende. The meeting is part of the tutoring and collaboration process started between the two companies to offer greater opportunities to athletes and contribute to the growth of women’s rugby in Southern Italy.
The morning will be enriched by a workshop created together with the Roberta Lanzino Anti-Violence Center, dedicated to the themes of respect and relationships, and then conclude with the traditional Third Time.
Three Calabrian teams will be on the pitch on Sunday
On Sunday 11 October, at 11am, Mazzuca will host joint training between Rugby Rende, CAS Rugby Reggio and Rugby Cosenza: three Calabrian teams together to train, compete and share the pitch.
«Mazzuca is the home of Rugby Rende, but we want it to also be increasingly a place for the Rendese community: for children, young people, families and for anyone who wants to get to know our world», underlines the club.
