An energy bonus of 200 euros reserved for one hundred artisan businesses registered with Ebac and a fuel bonus of 250 euros for 320 workers.

They were decided by EBAC, Calabria Bilateral Crafts Body, which developed the two measures with the aim of giving oxygen to businesses and workers in a difficult and complex economic phase, in which the impact of energy price increases is taking on dramatic contours.

“The increases in fuel and diesel prices weigh enormously on the coffers of entrepreneurs and on the pockets of workers. Artisan businesses – states EBAC Calabria president Francesco Pellegrini – pay a very high price, squeezed between increasingly narrow profit margins and heavily depleted purchasing power. This is why we have decided to invest part of our budget resources on measures to support the sector”.

“On the one hand – explains Pellegrini – we are reaching out to the companies registered with EBAC by announcing a one-off support measure that can help them counteract the explosion in energy costs. On the other we are thinking of the workers who, due to the surge in diesel prices, also have serious difficulties in paying for fuel to go to work”.

“We want to demonstrate to the workers of the sector our closeness with a small but concrete measure – comments vice president Benedetto Cassala -. A debureaucratized measure that will allow the bonus to be paid as early as December. The Bilateral Body of Calabria is there in times of difficulty and wants to be there, as it has done in the past with other measures”.

“There are around 3 thousand companies registered with the EBAC – reassures the director Andrea Monteleone -. There are around 3 thousand companies registered with the EBAC, 9 thousand workers but in 2026 the redundancy fund was requested by only a few dozen. From the comparison with the social partners a clear fact seems to emerge: the sector at the moment in Calabria is not experiencing crises linked to the decline in production or stagnation in production, but linked to the disproportionate increase in the cost of raw materials, fuel, labour, with the only certainty that the increase in this last cost certainly does not end up in the pockets of the workers. We hope – he concludes – with the bonuses we put in place that we can do our part”.

The Energy Bonus is aimed at artisan businesses registered with EBAC for at least six months, who have had a bill exceeding 500 euros in the period immediately preceding the application.

Applications can be submitted from 8am on 14 December until 12pm on 18 December 2026.

The Fuel Bonus, however, concerns workers of artisan businesses registered with Ebac. This is an extraordinary welfare measure aimed at supporting low-income families (with an ISEE indicator not exceeding 15 thousand euros). The bilateral body plans to recognize 320 bonuses of 250 euros each.

In this case, the application can be submitted from 8 am on December 1st to 12 pm on December 11th 2026.
