Messina never stops: Sarao and Kragl sign the… Victory and the solitary summit

Two set pieces were enough for Messina to advance to Vittoria, achieve their fifth consecutive championship and cup success, isolating themselves at the top alone in Group B of Eccellenza for the first time in the season. At the “Cosimo” Sarao and Kragl decide, a goal in each half, but overall the Peloritani have the match under control, risking very little.
Torrisi places Doni in the center of defense next to Blondett, with Sbuttoni not even on the bench despite the day before Torrisi had given him as fully recovered. In the median Langone preferred to Giunta. The same “poker” from last Sunday is on the attack.

First ring in the 10th minute with a free kick from Kragl that ends up outside 35 metres. Vittoria in the yellow jersey tries to advance but when Messina tries “seriously” they sink. It’s the 22nd minute when Palumbo sprints from the left, skips a man before entering the area and being put down by Cannino. Sarao appears on the spot and displaces Malandrino and goes to celebrate together with the 500 Acr fans. Messina passes and manages, until the 42nd minute when Langone latches on to Guerriero’s cross and shoots hard but centrally towards Malandrino who saves in two stages.
Four minutes after returning to the pitch and Sarao comes very close to doubling the lead but Malandrino takes refuge in a corner and saves his team. Appetizer of what happens four minutes later: free kick from the right by Kragl, left-footed “armed” at the near post by the captain of the day who finds the red and white goalkeeper unprepared and beats him for the 0-2. Shortly after the half hour mark the most tempting opportunity for the locals, with Francofonte who, caught by a long ball, comes in from the left behind the Giallorossi defense and shoots on the rebound but the ball ends up wide to the left of Coco. The opportunity for the guest’s trio instead came at the feet of Burzio in the 32nd minute, when a deflection from Cannino put him face to face with Cannino, who did well to block the goal. With ten to go Bonanno also tries with a free kick from the right which Malandrino saves to the ground. The Iblean goalkeeper also took the ball on the next attempt by Bonanno, who looked for personal joy with an outside shot from the edge of the area. Bonanno, however, was unlucky in full recovery when his position with the left foot hit the post with Malandrino beaten, then on the rebound Varela dived with his head and missed the target.
