“If the situation doesn’t resolve itself tomorrow we will stop.” The blockade of road transport in Calabria puts at risk the production of Gias, the frozen food industrial group from Mongrassano, in the Cosentino area. The president and CEO Gloria Tenuta raised the alarm. The company, specialized in the production of frozen foods, is preparing to stop the production lines from tomorrow due to the lack of supplies of raw materials, if the situation is not resolved.

Gias has 400 permanent and seasonal employees and a turnover of over 70 million euros. The interruption of production would have consequences for a significant part of the staff. “Out of 400 employees, the interruption will leave between 200 and 300 workers at home,” explains Tenuta.
