The race towards the Cosenza 2027 municipal elections enters a more dynamic phase. The meetings multiply, the pressure increases, the parties try to tighten the deadlines. But, at the moment, the fog is still thick. And in the centre-right, where a rapid convergence was imagined, a clarification arrives that calls everything into question: that of Pierluigi Caputo, group leader of Forza Italia in the Region. Who, in a note, clarifies: «My name is not on the table. And not even that of Loizzo.” Contacted by telephone, Caputo clarified that he is not in the running, at least officially. “My name is not on the table,” he said.
And he added that not even that of Simona Loizzo appears to have been formally indicated by the coalition. A clarification that sounds like a dig more at the League than at the deputy. To the direct question – Would you like to be mayor of Cosenza? –, Caputo did not close the door: «Anyone would like it, me too…», he admitted, claiming pride and belonging to the city. Too soon? Likely. But the availability, although not declared, was hinted at. Compared to the indiscretions of the day before, however, Caputo wanted to clarify that he has never expressed his willingness to run for the office of mayor of Cosenza.
