The Municipality has a debt of 7,895,801.01. The hole is certified by the report on the financial statements (34 pages, minutes 14) from the day before yesterday, by the Board of Auditors: Antonio Daffinà, Teresa Straface, and Antonello Mastromarchi who expressly certified a “conditional favorable opinion”.
This is because: «The condition consists of the Council’s expression regarding the recovery of the deficit».
In the short term, therefore, there will be two options left at the municipal meeting: not to approve it and everyone going home; or approve a form of rebalancing, the debt of which would be spread over the next 10 years.
The other path is the crack, on which Prime Minister Marco Ambrogio was peremptory yesterday too: “We will not allow Mayor Barile to declare bankruptcy: businesses and workers come first.”
