A new Club of Subbuteo/Calcio Table was born in Calabria. It is the Virtus Calabria (Amateur sports association), founded to make all age groups live, the emotion and magic of miniature football, so popular in the 70s and 80s and returned in recent years to the national limelight and not only given the continuous expanding of the game all over the world, as evidenced by the frequent creation of clubs and the development of numerous international tournaments.
Virtus Calabria, whose president is Andrea Paganohas been launched in the subbute panorama thanks to the passion for the pointed game of former Calabrian boys of the 80s.
The main office is in Catanzaro, but in the coming months, other detached offices will be established throughout the region precisely to give the marked imprint of a regional club with a large operation and not limited exclusively to the regional capital city.
The symbol of the club, whose social colors are yellow and blé, represents a stylized Spartan helmet, with two miniatures of the Subbuteo on the sides, which depicts, together with the Latin word “Virtus”, the concept of value, courage and virtue.
And precisely by leveraging these specific images with a high cultural historical meaning, the new club wants to pursue well -targeted design objectives that exist from the simple moment of the game on the green cloth, but which instead aim, in particular, to the social aggregation, to the collecting of hand -painted football teams and miniature stadiums, the involvement of children and young people, to the knowledge of the Subbuteo in the Municipalities and in schools through disclosure and promotional demonstrations.
