Due to a road accident, the southbound carriageway of the A2 “Autostrada del Mediterraneo” was temporarily closed to traffic at km 188.500, near Castrovillari, in the province of Cosenza. The reopening took place shortly after 9.30
The accident, which involved a lorry in an independent accident, had made it necessary to establish a mandatory exit at the Morano junction (km 187.257) with return to the Frascineto junction (km 196.147).
During traffic management operations and the positioning of temporary signs, a roadman from the Anas team was hit by a vehicle. The man was immediately rescued and transported to hospital.
Anas teams and the police intervened on site, engaged in safety activities and in restoring normal circulation.
