The objective, only whispered at the moment, is to lead at least 6 of the 17 large centers where proportional voting is held at the end of the electoral round which opens on Sunday. “Entering” the capitals. With polls still to open, the center-left leads only Floridia, Termini Imerese and Carini. The centre-right has 11 outgoing mayors: in Marsala, Villabate, Mislmeri, Milazzo, Barcellona, Augusta, Ispica, Bronte, Ribera and above all Enna and Agrigento. And then there are the civic lists that lead three other centres, primarily Messina.
The center-left’s objective is to “break through” in Enna, despite the Democratic Party having denied the symbol to Mirello Crisafulli and the 5 Stars not having presented the list, and in Agrigento by confirming the three centers already administered. But the game is broader and will also be played in Marsala, where Andreana Patti tries to exploit the splits in the centre-right, and in Lentini.
