Aldo Florenzi says goodbye to Cosenza after seven intense years and is preparing to start a new adventure with Spezia, bringing with him the memory of a journey that saw him grow to become one of the most representative faces of the recent rossoblù past. One of the most significant stories of recent years in the Sila house comes to an end. The Sardinian leaves the rossoblù shirt after a journey that began in 2019 with the Primavera, thanks to a great intuition of the former head of the youth sector Sergio Mezzina, and culminated with his success in the first team. For the Sardinian midfielder there are 147 appearances, 10 goals and 10 assists with the rossoblu shirt, to which are added 28 appearances and 5 goals with the Primavera team.
A journey built step by step. The arrival in the youth sector, then the growth until his debut in Serie B, which arrived in 2021 on the Ascoli pitch. From that moment on, Florenzi became an important player for Cosenza, standing out for his dynamism, quality and spirit of sacrifice, maturing not only from a footballing point of view but also from a human point of view.
The last season, however, was not the easiest. After relegation from Serie B two years ago, the midfielder experienced a year of lights and shadows, which ended with elimination from the playoffs against Casarano. Now it’s time to move on.
