The new Alfa Romeo is called Milano and was unveiled today in the city of the Madonnina in the presence of the CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares. The new compact brings back the Biscione brand and all the values of its sporting DNA and technological refinement in the compact segment, the largest in Europe.

The new “accessible” model (the price list starts at 29,900 euros) will offer, in all four versions – said Jean-Philippe Learnato, CEO of Alfa Romeo – best in class driving dynamics thanks to specific technical solutions resulting from a development process coordinated by the same team that designed the Giulia GTA range includes the Elettrica with 54 kWh battery of 156 HP and the Elettrica Veloce of 240 HP.

Both offer more than 410 km of autonomy. A result obtained by working on the aerodynamics also conferred by the “truncated tail” design typical of Alfa and also by a mass that is the lowest among premium compact cars. But the range – as European and Italian customers in particular like it – also includes the Milano Hybrid which combines the efficiency of a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Miller cycle engine with variable geometry turbo with a 48 Volt electrification system Hybrid VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo) for a total power of 136 HP.

And the uniqueness of the Milano Ibrida in the premium compact category is underlined by the Q4 all-wheel drive variant which offers automated electronic management of torque distribution on the rear wheels. Regardless of the propulsion system, the Milano represents the maximum expression of Alfa Romeo sportiness.

This is demonstrated by the mechanical self-locking differential, the most direct steering ratio in the category, the wide tracks with specific front and rear anti-roll bars, the sports suspension, the larger braking system and the 20-inch wheels. From today the Milano Speciale can be ordered, a version limited exclusively to the launch edition, available in hybrid (136 HP) and electric (156 HP) engines with a price list starting from 39,500 for the full electric version and 29,900 for the hybrid one.
