Porto Bolaro Shopping Center in Reggio Calabria will be the fascinating setting for the third edition of the Coppa Calabria 2024 of Table Football. The prestigious team competition, organized this year by the Subbuteo Club Reggio Calabria under the aegis of the Italian Table Football Sports Federation (FISCT) and the national Subbuteo sector of the organization for sports education (OPES, a sports promotion body recognized by CONI), will be held on Sunday 7th July, from 9.30am to 6pminside the San Leo shopping center in Reggio Calabria. The tournament was included in the list of initiatives planned by the rich summer calendar of the same Shopping Center, which enthusiastically embraced this sporting event by offering a large space, inside its structure, to the athletes of the Calabrian miniature soccer teams.
The teams participating in the 2024 edition of the Calabria Table Football Cup will be seven: AS Cosenza, Bruzia D086, CRUC Cosenza, CT Paola, Catanzaro, SC Reggio Calabria and RhegionThe defending champions are AS Cosenza, who have already won the first two editions and who, in the event of further success this year, will definitively conquer the beautiful trophy up for grabs.
The challenges of the Table Football team competitions involve a simultaneous clash on four different fields of two teams made up of four players, with the calculation of the final result very similar to that of the Davis Cup in tennis and therefore determined by any victories on the single playing field. In the knockout stages, in the event of a tie, the actual goals scored on the playing fields will be counted. In the event of a further tie, extra time will be played, where the team that scores first on one of the four fields will win.
