Initiatives and manifestations of proximity and solidarity to the Palestinian people multiply in Italian cities. And to the call, Vibo Valentia also replied present. This morning, in fact, on the main course Vittorio Emanuele III, under the palace of the Prefecture of the Vibonese capital, a large group of activists has met to ask with strength and determination “to stop the ongoing genocide and the end of the occupation against the people of Palestine”.
Flags, banners and blood paint have made choreography to the peaceful and silent manifestation, which has turned mainly towards the dramatic situation that Palestinian children are experiencing, under indiscriminate attack of Israeli military forces. Therefore, an event organized by the Pro Pal Vibonese Committee – against the bombings in the Gaza Strip, where there is an increase in victims and displaced people – which were also attended by citizens and supported by city associations, to attract attention to the humanitarian emergency in progress but not only: “We boycott the complicit products of with the Israeli apartheid”, it was possible to read on some of the flyers distributed by the demonstrators.
Today’s protest represents only a further passage of the pacifist and Pro Palestine movement: on Monday 22 September, in fact, after the one proclaimed by the CGIL, there is a general strike promoted by several basic unions.
