Silvana Sibarelli, the sixty-four year old who was killed last Friday in the ambush that took place in the Lattughelle district of Cassano allo Ionio, was hit by a barrage of shots fired from a long gun. This is what emerged, according to the few rumors that leaked, during the autopsy examination carried out this morning at the morgue of the Rossano hospital, where the body had been transported in the night between Friday and Saturday. His companion, Damiano Pepe, considered by the investigators to be a leading element in the Sibaritide crime scene, was also injured in the same ambush. The autopsy, which continued for approximately four hours from 11am to 3pm, was carried out on behalf of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of Castrovillari by Dr. Biagio Solarino, of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the University of Bari, and his team. The cause of death of the sixty-four-year-old was thought to be a cerebral hemorrhage. This morning, at 11, the woman’s funeral will be celebrated at the Gesù Buon Pastore Church in Sibari.
