The value of life, the importance of memory and roots in the film “Pochi attimi”, the feature film debut of the Sicilian actor and director Angelo Faraci, with the first take on 1 April in Vetralla, in the Viterbo area.
This will be followed by filming in Nicosia, starting next April 8th and, at the end of the month, in Santa Margherita di Belice. Non-random choices for a story – written by Rosaria Lo Porto on a story by Faraci himself (also the protagonist of the film) – which places the Messina earthquakes of 1908 and the Belice earthquake of 1968 at the center of the narrative.
Palermo by birth and Pattese by adoption, the director shot some of his short films in the Messina area which were present at Tulipani di Seta Nera and other international festivals, and today he is moving on to his first feature film: «After moving to Patti, I fell in love with a Sicily that still retains its roots in special places, and I decided to embrace the project of a cinema that distanced itself from the themes of the mafia, adopting a neorealist style immersed in the contemporary, and choosing as locations the fantastic places of Nebrodi and the Peloritani”.
