There is perhaps another “suspicious death” at the Papardo hospital. But she may not be the only one. And we are still in the early stages of another investigation that arose after a complaint from a patient’s family. However, the information that filters through the confidentiality of the investigators is very little.
But one thing is certain. The Prosecutor’s Office and the Carabinieri are currently working on the case of a ninety-year-old who died in recent days after hospitalization in the Hematology department of the hospital in the northern area. All investigative options are currently open, from the hypothesis of classic medical negligence to the more complex and already sadly known hypothesis of the presence of bacteria.
Precisely the first phases of the investigations have already recorded the seizure of the patient’s body and an initial activity of acquisition of medical documentation by the carabinieri, who have been delegated by the magistrates to the investigations. But apparently it has not yet been decided with certainty whether to carry out the autopsy. It is therefore a situation in progress, which could have developments in the next few hours.
And this happens a year after the sensational seizure of the Cardiac Surgery operating rooms of the Papardo hospital, after the “chain of deaths” due to the presence of bacteria. An investigation which, moreover, after a year has not yet been concluded due to the complexity of the consultancy.
