The stand of the Calabria Region set up inside the International Tourism Exchange welcomed the debut of the new novel written by Salvatore Franco, Arbëresh writer and musician from Firmo. “Il Ghiegghio and the wolf” was presented in the Class Room directly by the Vibo publisher Renato Costa.
The novel obtained special recognition from the Ministry of Culture as a work of identity of the Pollino and for its creation the Official Guides Association of the Pollino National Park coordinated by Andrea Vacchiano and the QSPA of Tirana (Centre of Studies and Publications for the Arbëresh) managed by the Executive Director Diana Kastrati also collaborated.
«It is a privilege to be able to tell the BIT in Milan – declares the publisher Renato Costa – the values that Salvatore Franco’s book transmits. In fact, the work aims to disseminate the Pollino National Park, telling in its pages the wonderful landscapes offered by this naturalistic area. And the second mission is the valorization of Arbëreshe culture through the use of sentences written in the original language and which can also be listened to by activating a QR Code present in the book. I thank Andrea Vacchiano and Professor Kastrati – concludes Costa – for their availability in creating the second volume of “Radici Arbëreshë”. This tour which began today will continue on 21 February in Cosenza at the Palazzo della Provincia and on 6 March in Tirana within the Made in Italy EXPO”.
