Jannik Sinner reaches the quarterfinals of the “Terra Wortmann Open”, ATP 500 on grass at the OWL Arena in Halle, in Germany, with a prize pool of 2,411,390 euros. The almost 23-year-old tennis player from South Tyrol, number 1 seed and leader of the world rankings, beat the Hungarian Fabian Marozsan in three sets in the second round (round of 16), with a score of 6-4 6-7(4) 6-3 .

For a place in the semi-final the Italian will face the winner of the match between the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, sixth seeding, and the German Jan-Lennard Struff, who eliminated Luciano Darderi on his debut. Sinner’s doubles partner, Hubert Hurkacz, also reached the quarterfinals: the Pole, fifth favorite of the tournament, won 7-6(3) 6-4 over the Australian qualifier James Duckworth.

Nothing to do for Matteo Berrettini in the second round (round of 16) of the “Terra Wortmann Open”, ATP 500 on grass at the OWL Arena in Halle, Germany, with a prize pool of 2,411,390 euros. The Roman tennis player, fresh from the grass final in Stuttgart, surrendered in three sets to the American Marcos Giron, winning with a score of 6-3 4-6 6-3.
