The ABI has just issued a circular letter to its members in which it reports that the Ordinance of the Head of the Civil Protection Department has been published on the website of the Department of Civil Protection with which a measure to suspend the payment of mortgage installments has been adopted, as a consequence of the exceptional meteorological events which occurred from 11 to 20 February in the territory of the provinces of Catanzaro and Cosenza.
This ordinance, currently being published in the Official Journal, explains a note, incorporates the contents of the agreement signed by Abi, Civil Protection and consumer associations to ensure timely interventions in favor of populations affected by natural disasters. With the publication in the Official Journal it will be possible for banks to immediately implement the suspension of mortgages for these territories.
