The strong gusts of wind, which still persist on the Tyrrhenian side, continue to cause damage, critical issues and inconveniences. In Villafranca Tirrena the strong wind tore down the entire photovoltaic system located on the terrace of the municipal building. The seafront remains closed to traffic, as in Fondachello Valdina, due to the presence of sand and debris deposited in the road by the fury of the waves. Problems are also widespread in the Spadafora area, where the road retaining walls on provincial road 55 have suffered a failure, near the slope that leads to Piazza Colomba. The lighting poles on Sp55 were also damaged. In Saponara, the municipal police (with a patrol present since this morning) is monitoring the stretch of seafront that reopened yesterday considering that the waves are once again invading the road. In case of accumulation of sand it will be closed to transit.
