The situation in Sibaritide

“For the first time after six days the roads are free of mud and work is underway to resume services.” The mayor of Cassano allo Ionio, Gianpaolo Iacobini, said this in a video published on social media, speaking about the situation in the Laghi di Sibari and Lattughelle districts where, in recent days, it was necessary to evacuate several families due to the flooding of the Crati river in various points. When asked “when it will be possible to enter homes”, the mayor asked citizens to “still have patience” and reported that there will be a meeting tomorrow afternoon with the “Laghi di Sibari” association and with the administrators of the condominiums to coordinate minimum cleaning activities”.
