An evening of nightlife transformed into yet another scenario of urban violence. In Bagnara Calabra, the carabinieri notified four DACUR measures (the so-called urban Daspo) issued by the Police Headquarters of Reggio Calabria. The recipients are four young people who were involved in a violent fight that broke out inside a club in the city centre.
The facts date back to the night of May 1, 2025: it took more than a year to translate the investigative findings into a concrete prevention measure. The punitive measure, signed by the provincial public security authority, imposes severe restrictions for the next two years. The four boys will be prohibited from accessing or even parking – seven days a week, from 7pm to 7am the following morning – inside and in the immediate vicinity of all public establishments and public entertainment venues in the municipal area.
If the urban Daspo walks on the administrative track of prevention, the criminal justice machine moves in parallel. The implications that emerged from the investigations of the Carabinieri describe a night of ordinary madness. Three of the young people involved were referred to the Judicial Authority for the crime of brawling. For the fourth the complaint is a threat to a public official. According to what has been reconstructed, the young man did not limit himself to taking part in the scuffle inside the premises, but made explicit threats to one of the carabinieri who intervened on site to calm things down and restore order.
