«Lack of sharing and political cohesion. On Baker Hughes Stasi did everything himself.” This is yet another complaint from the regional and municipal councilor Pasqualina Straface: «The legal mandate to propose the extraordinary appeal to the President of the Republic was conferred solely and directly by the Mayor, without any prior resolution by the Municipal Council. Nor has this decision ever been ratified.” This would emerge from what was released by the municipal offices in response to the express request for access to the documents made by the Opposition Council Group. «We – he adds – have a source of confirmation, if ever needed, of the totally disrespectful behavior of the First Citizenin violation of the rules and intent on using an instrument of judicial self-defense, as a mere undue form of pressure and dissuasion. After the split recorded in the last City Council in which unanimity should have been hoped for and achieved, today we discover that even the political coverage of the majority that guides the City through the Council is missing. This is the most eloquent confirmation – Straface insists – of the Mayor’s isolated handling of the matter, who kept fundamental passages hidden even from the political bodies of the Municipality itself, as well as from the entire City, thus assuming a very serious responsibility with great arrogance of power”.
