In the end the Supreme Court admitted the list of Popular Alternativethe political movement founded by the mayor of Terni Stefano Bandecchi. AP will be present not only in the Southern constituency where it had already been admitted, but also in the Central constituency and, from what we learn, also in the Islands constituency. And in Sicily and Sardinia there are also two candidates from Messina in the running: Massimo Romagnoli and Valentina Valenti.

Romagnoli, born in Capo d'Orlando in 1971, was elected deputy in the Estero (Europe) constituency in the 2006 political elections. Romagnoli, in fact, has lived in Brussels since 2017, while previously he had lived in Athens since 1989.

Valentina Valenti, Roman but of Messina origins, is also in the running. Born in 1970, a long-time politician with a lot of experience behind her also in the world of social work and volunteering. Valenti is a quadriplegic in a wheelchair with complete paralysis of all four limbs due to an injury suffered at school in 1988 during physical education class. In 1996 in Messina she presented the program of the association she founded, Valentina, and was appointed as a voluntary consultant by the Municipality of Messina. She was already a candidate in the 1999 European elections with the CCD in the North West constituency.
