It arrived at the emergency room with serious trauma and injuries, deemed healed in thirty days, evident signs of a recently suffered physical aggression. The medical staff of the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Crotone at that point reported the case to the police, activating the protocol provided for the crimes attributable to “Red code”. The investigations of the Mobile Team of the Police Headquarters, section “Crimes against the person”, made it possible to ascertain that the author of the violence was the woman’s husband, attacked and harassed even in the presence of minor children.
The man was arrested on charges of mistreatment in the family by the agents of the mobile team who carried out an order of precautionary custody in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Crotone at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The woman was safe in a protected structure, thanks to the coordination with social services.
