A Bosnian court has formalized an indictment against a policeman who stole 19 guns from a police station where he was on dutyselling them to a criminal group in exchange for the price of 1,150 euros.
The episode, the media in Sarajevo report, dates back to October 2021 when officer Aleksandar Tosic (48 years old) took possession of the 19 pistols in the warehouse of the Sokolac police station, in Republika Srpska, the Serb-majority entity of Bosnia -Herzegovina. The policeman then left the weapons in a cardboard box on the side of the road between Rogatica and Ustipraca, where he found an envelope containing the compensation of 2,300 convertible marks (KM, the currency in circulation in Bosnia-Herzegovina)), equal to approximately 1,150 euros. The officer is currently suspended from duty, and upon indictment he will likely face a prison sentence.
