The total funds allocated amount to 2.4 million euros, 2 of which are earmarked for “prestigious events” and 400 thousand for “innovative and experimental” ones, always with the aim of “promoting the image and brand of Calabria”. The Tourism Department of the Region, after the announcement published in May, has now announced the provisional results of the selection. The first in the ranking of the admitted and fundable events is the Magna Graecia Film Festival (the 21st edition of the film festival) which requested and obtained a contribution of 200 thousand euros. It is followed by the Be Alternative Festival, a live open-air contemporary music festival, which was assigned just under the 73 thousand euros requested. Another festival, Armonie d’arte, requested 200 thousand euros and obtained 180 thousand; the same request but a smaller contribution (150 thousand euros) for the Festival Teatro dei Ruderi.

For the Formula Kite Youth World Championship, the Hang Loose sailing club in Gizzeria received funding of 200 thousand euros, while 160 thousand (against a request of 180 thousand) were assigned to the organizers of the Caccuri Literary Prize. And again: 80 thousand euros to the Aurora Festival “Ri(e)voluzione”, 180 thousand euros for Primavera dei Teatri, 100 thousand euros (half of what was requested) for “A farla amare comincia tu” by the Municipality of Catanzaro, 150 thousand euros to the Peperoncino Festival, the same amount respectively to the Autumn Festival and Musicama Calabria, and finally 100 thousand euros each for Trame Festival of books on the mafia and Reggio Live Fest.
