A fight that broke out in the early hours of December 28 near the McDonald’s on Viale Affaccio, in Vibo Valentia, led to the identification of seven young people, including two minors. The episodes were reconstructed at the end of an investigative activity conducted by the Flying Squad and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The clash occurred around 3 in the morning
Around 3.00 a report was received to the police regarding an ongoing dispute in the car park in front of the fast food restaurant. When the patrols arrived, however, the fight had already ended and the participants had left.
The subsequent investigations, based on listening to witnesses and on the analysis of public and private video surveillance cameras, made it possible to ascertain that two groups of boys, residing in two different hamlets of Zambrone, had fought each other for trivial reasons, hitting each other with kicks and punches.
Seven identified, measures taken
The in-depth investigations allowed seven subjects to be identified and the individual conduct to be reconstructed. All were reported free for the crime of affray.
For adults, the Police Commissioner of Vibo Valentia has issued a mandatory expulsion order with a ban on returning to the municipality of Vibo Valentia for three years. For the two minors, however, the procedure for the adoption of the DACUR (ban on access to urban areas) has been started.
