Three people – two people from Crotone aged 36 and 32 and a 31-year-old Pakistani – were arrested by the State Police and placed under house arrest on charges of having staged the fight that broke out in the historic center of Crotone, which resulted in the foreigner injuring the 36-year-old with a 9-centimetre knife. But at the end of the validation hearing which was held last Saturday, the Court of Crotone, accepting the request of the lawyers Ilda Spadafora and Gaetano Cosentino, did not apply any precautionary measures against the two people from Crotone. While on the other hand the judge ordered the signature requirement for non-EU citizens.
The episode occurred on Friday afternoon, when the agents of the Flying Squad and the Flying Squad intervened in the old part of the city for the scuffle that apparently arose for trivial reasons. During the violent altercation, the Pakistani hit the 36-year-old in the face, causing a wound judged to be healable in 15 days by the health workers. During the rapid investigations, the used knife was subsequently found by the police inside the toilet of a commercial business in the immediate vicinity and confiscated by the officers. Hence the house arrest for the three suspects, followed by the release of the two from Crotone and the obligation to sign for the Pakistani.
