The Carabinieri of the Briatico station executed a detention order issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic at the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro – Criminal Enforcement Office, against a man, resident in that municipality, definitively sentenced to 11 years and 5 months in prison for crimes of a sexual nature committed against minors. Furthermore, once the prison sentence has been served, the application of safety measures was ordered for a period of two years, consisting of a ban on approaching places frequented by minors and carrying out work activities that involve contact with minors. The man, who was already under house arrest, was transferred to a detention institution, where he will serve the remaining sentence of 9 years, 7 months and 10 days.
