Bridge on the Strait: in Rome the hearings on the new DL Infrastructure

The DL Infrastructure, approved by the Council of Ministers on May 21, contains a long series of provisions, but most of the spotlights are focused on the rules relating to the stable connection between Sicily and Calabria. And so the auditions started in front of the meeting commissions of the Chamber and Senate focused mainly on the issues related to the bridge.
The national representatives of CGIL, CISL UIL, UGL, Legacoop, Confcooperative, CNA, Confartigianato and Confcommercio were heard. And yesterday was the turn of the Messina Association “instead of the bridge” which highlighted “serious regulatory and technical critical issues relating to procedures”. Under the lenses article 1 of the Legislative Decree: “The European rules and the contract code impose that if the cost of a contract grows by more than 50%, the contract must be canceled and reassigned through a new tender.
