This afternoon, in the presence of the vice premier and minister of infrastructure and transport Matteo Salvini, the expected board of directors of the Strait Messina company, chaired by Giuseppe Recchi, opened, to examine the latest documents that accompany the final project of the bridge over the Strait of Messina in view of the examination by the Cipess scheduled for the next few days.
On the proposal of the CEO, Pietro Ciucci, as required by Law Decree no. 35/2023, the additional documents to contracts with the Eurolink general contractor, with the Project Management Consultant Parsons Transportation Group, with the environmental monitor Edison Next Environment and with the insurance broker Marsh have been approved.
Always in line with the dictation of Legislative Decree 35, the additional act to the Convention with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport was approved, with the financial economic plan attached.
The updated value of the investment, downstream of the definition of the additional documents with all the different enthusiasts, remains confirmed to 13.5 billion, entirely covered by the Budget Law 2025 and by the capital increase of the Strait of Messina signed in 2023.
