How much will it cost, in the end, cross the bridge over the Strait? A question that is far from trivial, also considering the need to bring the accounts back into the always complex balance of costs and revenues, which however seems destined to become a coincidence, if not a real yellow.
On the day of the approval of the final project by the Cipess, the “Strait of Messina” had explained that “as regards the tolls, the financing system of the work made it possible to develop a hypothesis of the tariff plan significantly lower than the current costs of crossing the Strait of Messina, while guaranteeing in the period of operating the work the full coverage of operating costs and investments in extraordinary maintenance”.
