From the resources for the Strait Bridge to the hypotheses of amnesties and amnestiesAnd: while with the Nadef the framework begins to take shape, in the majority we can already see the fibrillations mounting on the construction of the maneuver. A budget law which, given the reduced resources, cannot be “electoral”, as those of the past were defined with many effective measures, but risks suffering the shocks of the long electoral race between allies who will inevitably try to flaunt the words of order in the sprint towards the European Championships.

With last year’s measure, the company Stretto di Messina spa, which was in liquidation, was reactivated. Webuild will deliver the project update documentation by Saturday, as CEO Pietro Salini explained. And in the next one, there will be an initial allocation connected to the actual setting up of the construction sites“, as assured the Minister of Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti, presenting the Nadef. For the deputy prime minister and minister of infrastructure Matteo Salvini, who had assured that today there would already be a first allocation, coverage will be needed “not exceeding 12 billion spread over the next 15 years”. The Northern League leader clarified that “the objective is to open the construction sites, after 52 years of words, in the summer of 2024”.

Two-speed majority

But on this level it is not difficult to notice how there are two-speed visions in the centre-right. The FdI group leader in the Chamber, Thomas Fotibelieves that in the maneuver there «could be a budget item that concerns a multi-year program», but he is more cautious about the timing: «I doubt that» next year «we will already be in the procurement process».

“We must always be serious, we must always tell citizens the truth, not make fun of them, not make apocalyptic promises or destructive analyses”, noted the other deputy prime minister, Antonio Tajani: “It being understood that it must be done because it is a commitment that we at Forza Italia have taken” and “it was a choice made by Silvio Berlusconi, we will see what the timing will be and what investments can be made in this maneuver”.

Although a “great supporter” of this work, Maurizio Lupi notes that “the economic situation, however, requires us to concentrate resources on families, businesses, wages and healthcare to support development and growth”. Most likely, a majority discussion will be needed to resolve this and other issues, such as those necessary to find new resources. To Avs’ question asking whether the government intended to «abandon or reduce a condoning approach to the tax system for the future», Giancarlo Giorgetti replied: «I can answer on the things the government does, not on news that appears in the newspapers but which the government has not adopted and probably does not even intend to adopt”.

The words of the Minister of Economy sounded, even according to exponents of the centre-right himself, as a misalignment with his secretary Salvinthe. In recent days the deputy prime minister has relaunched an amnesty “on small irregularities” in construction – a hypothesis on which there was also coldness on the part of FdI -, and a scrapping of “small tax bills, not the large and total tax evaders , but small savers.” From the League they note that Giorgetti referred to the tax amnesty and not to the urban planning one, and that the fiscal peace is not an amnesty, because it is structurally different. Therefore, it is the party’s thesis, there is no dystonia between Salvini and Giorgetti.
