With the “assent” of the Sicilian Region and the Calabria Region, expressed today, on the list of names sent by the MIT offices, the technical team that makes up the independent body which is responsible for support and consultancy tasks for the project of the stable connection between Sicily and Calabria. MIT reports this, explaining that it is Alberto Prestininzi (Coordinator), full professor of Earth Engineering at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with specialization in geology; Claudio Borrifull professor of Construction Sciences at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Florence, with specialization in structures and aerodynamics, Director of the “Inter-university Center for Construction Aerodynamics and Wind Engineering”; Andreas Tarasprofessor of steel constructions and composite structures at ETH Zurich; Sara Muggiascaassociate professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of POLIMI, director of the Wind Tunnel.; Mauro Dolcefull professor of Construction Techniques at the «Federico II» University of Naples, expert in Seismic and Volcanic Risk; Francesco Karrerfull professor of Urban Planning at La Sapienza University of Rome (retired); Giuseppe Muscolinofull professor of Construction Science at the University of Messina; Paolo Fuschifull professor of Structural Mechanics at the University of Reggio Calabria and Alessio Ferrarfull professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Palermo.
