Brognaturo takes a new step in the process of valorising the territory. The “Brognaturo Borgo Fiorito” project, supported by the municipal administration, officially joins the Terra Mater Mission, a Public Engagement initiative promoted by the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.
The project is coordinated by the Department of Agro-Food Sciences and Technologies (Distal) and involves numerous university departments, institutional partners, production entities and an international network of universities and organizations.
A model between research and territory
Terra Mater Mission is proposed as a model that connects scientific research, local communities and territories, addressing issues related to biodiversity, agroecology, nutrition, health, well-being and active citizenship.
The objective is to give concrete answers to contemporary challenges, from climate change to the crisis of agricultural systems, up to the depopulation of internal areas, through a participatory and transdisciplinary approach.
Exhibition and workshops on June 1st and 2nd
Meanwhile, work is underway on the event scheduled for 1 and 2 June 2026 which will enliven the village of Brognaturo with the inauguration of an exhibition dedicated to floriculture and local craftsmanship.
Workshops and talks will also be planned which will involve citizens, operators and visitors, with the aim of promoting new opportunities for participation and valorisation of the territory.
