Councilor Messina has signed the decrees that appoint the commissioners ad acta for defaulting municipalities. These are officials, coming from the inspection service of the Department of Local Autonomies, which will have the task of verifying the persistence of non -compliance and, subsequently, of acting with the utmost speed to ensure the approval of financial instruments. Their action is a substitute for the functions of defaulting bodies and will continue until the final approval by the respective municipal councils. “The management report is an essential tool – underlines the commissioner – it is not only a regulatory obligation, but the basis for the verification and transparency of the administrative action of each municipality. The law sets precise deadlines precisely to ensure maximum clarity in the use of public resources. The commissioner is a necessary replacement intervention of the Region, adopted as the last ratio, after having exhausted any attempt to promptly. Our goal is to guarantee accounting regularity and the protection of citizens’ interests, supporting entities in compliance with the rules and with a view to continuous improvement “.
