Francesco Toscano, candidate of Sovereign and Popular Democracy in the Reggio Calabria by-elections, the fourth force after the centre-right, the centre-left and the Vannacciani, is decidedly aiming “at the abstentionists – around 80% – as I don’t think there is a single citizen of Reggio who will enthusiastically vote for Roscioli, Giannetta and Benedetto”. A scholar of social economist, Toscano launched his electoral campaign by meeting journalists in a public place in Reggio Calabria, dispensing, among other things, criticisms of the President of the Region Roberto Occhiuto, especially on the topic of healthcare, but also of the other protagonists of the ongoing electoral campaign which will end on September 28th.

«The electoral competition – said Toscano – is very low, no one is looking into it further and I have the impression that we are walking like sleepwalkers towards the precipice. I’m sorry about the breakup with Marco Rizzo, but I saw that he fell in love with General Vannacci, he had this mid-life crisis, but it doesn’t even seem to me that it was reciprocated.”

Continuing his speech, Francesco Toscano openly criticized Roberto Vannacci’s ‘descend into the field’:” We thought he could bring a breath of fresh air, but I don’t appreciate them, I don’t like generals in politics, I consider them dangerous. And then what does he do? Candidate a moderate, Giannetta. This Vannacci operation was born and died in Reggio Calabria.”
