The Calabria of need is supported by strong arms and invisible faces. Men and women who enter homes, among silent rooms and objects that tell family memories, among fragile bodies and elderly people asking for care.
It is they, the domestic workers, who take charge of the order and daily continuity of an aging region, which sheds its skin under the weight of time and depopulation. The 2025 report by the Domina Association and the Moressa Foundation, based on 2024 INPS data, shows how Calabrian domestic work is a microcosm crossed by demographic, economic and social tensions that tell more than any statistics.
