The city council of the day before yesterday concluded in the discussion of the last point, concerning the question of the FdI councilor, Guglielmo Caputo, on “Costs and benefits for the city of Corigliano Rossano” of the “Co-Ro Summer Fest 2026”, in an excited manner. The discussion of the point recorded Caputo’s harsh criticism for the expenses incurred, which was followed by disputes with the data by the tourism councilor Costantino Argentino.
Caputo began by talking about the disproportion between the expenses and the announced revenues of the tourist tax. He pointed out that compared to an expense of 3 million and 200 thousand spent on events in the last three years, there was an income from tourist taxes of 740 thousand euros, contrary to what was announced for the three years (400 thousand euros, 400 thousand euros and 700 thousand euros). For Caputo it would have been a real failure, having been able to count only on residents, while, due to a lack of strategies, tourism would have been lacking.
The response from Tourism Councilor Costantino Argentino was immediate and he contested the data expressed by providing “the real numbers”. Meanwhile, he began by highlighting that the program of events is not yet exhausted.
