The Calabria Region once again became a major protagonist in Milan on the occasion of the 2025 edition of Artigiano in Fiera, the largest international event dedicated to craftsmanship. With one of the most numerous and representative group exhibitions of the event, the region showcased its excellence, confirming its structured and recognizable presence which has lasted for many years.
The Calabria Village and participation numbers
From 6 to 14 December, 225 Calabrian companies – of which 40 specialized in artistic craftsmanship – populated the new exhibition space dedicated entirely to the region. The so-called “Calabria Village” was set up in pavilion 6, a strategic position that guaranteed exceptional visibility, highlighting the craftsmanship, food and wine and tourism potential of the region.
This year’s issues highlight a strong focus on artistic and traditional craftsmanship, offering visitors a comprehensive journey through the craftsmanship and authentic flavors of Calabria.
Piazza Calabria: the beating heart of culture and flavours
The main innovations of this edition were concentrated around the new Piazza Calabria, an impressive institutional space of 340 square metres. This meeting point hosted a rich program of cultural events, musical performances and meetings, transforming itself into the real beating heart of the Calabrian presence at the fair.
Next to the square, the offer has expanded with:
* Tourism Area: An area entirely dedicated to the promotion of Calabrian natural beauty, destinations and tourist offers.
* Calabria Restaurant: An authentic gastronomic experience that allowed the public to taste the best typical products, offering a genuine taste of local cuisine.
* Live Craft Workshops: Activities that allowed visitors to discover traditional crafts such as weaving, wood carving and violin making, involving the public in practical and educational experiences.
Institutional satisfaction and public reception
The president of the Region Roberto Occhiuto and the councilors Gianluca Gallo (Agriculture) and Giovanni Calabrese (Tourism) expressed great satisfaction with the success of the installation and the turnout of the public in Piazza Calabria.
The pavilion was particularly appreciated not only by ordinary visitors, but also by prominent figures such as chefs, pastry chefs and representatives of national politics, who praised the varied and qualified offer on offer. Artigiano in Fiera, with over one million visitors and the participation of more than one hundred countries, confirms itself as a global showcase.
Also in this edition, Calabria has achieved its objective of making its traditions, innovations, its rich culture and that unique identity that distinguishes it known to the world. The 2025 edition closes with an extremely positive outcome, strengthening the image of the region at an international level.
