Capo d’Orlando, car runs off the road on the A20 and overturns: driver pulled out of the wreckage

Independent accident in the evening on the A20 Palermo – Messina, on the two-way traffic section near the San Gregorio tunnel, in the Capo d’Orlando area, between the Rocca di Capri Leone and Brolo junctions. A Peugeot car, driven by a man, ended up off the road for reasons still under investigation, overturning along the road. The driver of the vehicle was promptly rescued and extracted from the vehicle by the Fire Brigade, who arrived promptly on site as did the traffic police patrol of the Sant’Agata Militello detachment. The man, who fortunately did not suffer serious injuries but only minor trauma and bruises, was then transferred by ambulance to the emergency room of the “Barone Romeo” hospital in Patti. The emergency road intervention vehicles and the Autostrade Consortium were also on site to make that stretch of road safe.
