Fratelli d’Italia asked their colleagues from the blue party to quickly nominate a candidate to be submitted to the voters’ judgment. The deadline, at least from what emerged in the discussion a few weeks ago, would have been set for Saturday the 10th. By the end of the month – so murmurs the political agora of the city – it will be clear whether the Castrovillaresi will have the possibility of choosing three or four poles with lists and candidates to support in order to try to overcome the long electoral mandate held by the outgoing mayor, Domenico Lo Polito. Among the question marks there is also the discussion in the Democratic Party. The feeling is always the same: Lo Polito would have identified a figure from the current municipal council who, in these very hours, has started working on his candidacy for mayor with some city councilors. The objective would be to put in place a team to be put to the vote. The so-called “wide field” will certainly not be active: the 5 Star Movement, in fact, could ally itself with the civic center represented by the regional councilor, Ferdinando Laghi.
