After six draws in a row, here is the first defeat. The Catanzaro suffers the comeback of Monza and passes from the dreams of relaunching to the nightmare of the second stop of the tournament with zero asset wins.
The Giallorossi pass after 5 ‘with Cisse served by Iemmello and play a good first half, responding blow by blow to the initiatives of the hosts, who hit the upper part of the crossbar with Azzi, better on the field, and then draw with Alvarez at 37’ served by Birindelli.
In the second half the Monza raises the laps and crushes the Giallorossi to the advantage of Birindelli himself in the 21st minute. The author of the doubling had escaped the red (only yellow) for a foul on Cisse with a firm game not seen by Perri of Rome: the referee was from behind, the VAR did not evaluate the intervention from Rosso, but the doubts remain. Before being expelled for protests, Aquilani tries to change by modifying the structure in a 4-2-3-1 with different replacements (including Iemmello who leaves room for Pandolfi), but Monza is almost no risk.
