Two new cylinders in the engine (Krajnc and Stoppa), a transfer market that isn’t over yet and could bring one last surprise to the Giallorossi, a home debut that is not a home game, but nonetheless represents an opportunity to be exploited while waiting – not too long – to return to the “Ceravolo” Wednesday evening. Catanzaro is ready for Ternana, the second obstacle in a path of growth (hopefully also of points), has more solutions and choices than a week ago, the strikers are doing better, the work week slipped away smoothly in a city taken more by its stadium than from this “strange” internal match scheduled in Lecce. «We can’t get distracted – warned Vivarini -, we are very sorry not to play at home, but I know that everything has been done to be at the “Ceravolo”, so we have to think that Lecce is our plant. I expect the ideal field, so if we manage to do our thing we can give satisfaction to the fans who won’t see us live».

Krajnc (ok for the transfer, the defender has been called up) and Stoppa increase the options of the coach from Abruzzo: «Slowly we begin to outline all the pieces, we have expanded the squad, introduced new boys, young people with a great future and we wanted to. We worked a lot on the new players during the week because they need to understand our principles, how to stay on the pitch, how to play, given that we have a fairly complex technical project, consequently we need to get into it with awareness, while the hard core of the last year guarantees continuity». Again the coach, on the latest additions: «Stoppa is in great condition, Krajnc as well, they are available and I am very happy because they are solid, reliable players, arrows to our bow to use during the match».

Versatile. Catanzaro with the 4-4-2, Iemmello and Biasci (slight favorite over Donnarumma) in attack. Compared to Cremona D’Andrea threatens Oliveri as a tall right winger, even if the coach doesn’t say too much about it. «We studied different tricks and situations to be more careful on transitions and have a few more players in the defensive phase. We are assimilating everything quite well. The team needs to be even more serene on the pitch, but time is needed and the introduction of new players who are in a totally different system is needed: D’Andrea, Pompetti, Oliveri who can grow exponentially, Veroli. Krajnc the same, but he knows our principles and this makes my job easier.’ Another aspect that the coach likes is the flexibility of many elements: «We are structured in the right way with an extra player in all departments. We are also versatile, in the sense that many of us can play multiple roles, so we have various possibilities and it is a very positive thing in terms of the championship». Waiting for Ambrosino (“Talent that must be waited for”), who could be back in two-three weeks.

Experts. Although defeated in the debut by Sampdoria, Lucarelli’s Ternana are a tough nut to crack: «A very well-established team in Serie B with more or less the group from last year which has changed very little. Ternana is very solid, physical, knows what to do on the pitch, is an expert in the tournament and thrives on episodes, so we have to be good at not giving them any, having the ability to impose our game and keep the cue. We have to improve a lot – warned Vivarini -, because in Cremona we showed some of our qualities, but we lacked depth, the offensive game that is our hallmark. We are still at the beginning, we must gain awareness and conviction».
